The annual Sea & Sand Festival, Folly’s longest-running festival at 34 years, returns to Folly Beach February 21st and 22nd with a weekend full of family-friendly events. From the Folly River Park straight to the beach, the Sea & Sand weekend will include an artisan street closure event and some healthy competition in the sand on Sunday.

Center Street will be closed* on “Salty Saturday” and taken over by Folly vendors, restaurants, and bars. The street closure event will take place from 10am to 4pm and will feature local bands, 80+ Folly art, craft, and fashion vendors, and a robust kid area. Sunday will feature a Sand Sculpting Competition starting at 10am on the beachfront of the Tides.

The streets will close at 7am and reopen at 5:30pm, but are open to the public from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $10 in advance [and $15 at the door], but is free for Folly residents (must show a valid driver’s license) and for kids 12 and under.

Surfboard Painting Contest: Compete in the live surfboard painting competition on Saturday!  Boards will be featured as an art installation around Folly Beach after Salty Saturday!

Sand Sculpting Competition: Join us in the sand on Sunday for the ultimate Sand Sculpting Competition!

Live Music: Sea & Sand will have two (3) stages showcasing Folly musicians. Additional details regarding the lineup coming soon!

Kids Area: Check out the Sea and Sand Circus by Good Clean Fun with aerial performers, tall jugglers, face painters, spin art, bubble therapy, sand crafts, and more! There will also be free inflatables for games and jumping fun!
